Ένα ιστορικό ντοκιμαντέρ μεγάλης σημασίας, όχι μόνο γιατί το ελληνικό κοινό θα δει άγνωστο οπτικό υλικό της Αθήνας του 19ου αιώνα αλλά και γιατί συγχρόνως φέρνει μια νέα ματιά για το πώς η Αθήνα του 1800 μεταμορφώθηκε στη νεοκλασική πόλη που φιλοξένησε τους πρώτους Ολυμπιακούς Αγώνες της σύγχρονης εποχής στα τέλη του 19ου αι., συνδυάζοντας τη μεγάλη Ιστορία με μικρές καθημερινές ιστορίες, μεταφέροντας τον θεατή σε ένα θέαμα, εικόνων, μουσικής και ήχων.
Ιστορικοί από την Ελλάδα, την Ευρώπη και την Αμερική μιλούν για τις μεταμορφώσεις της πόλης, ενώ ο θεατής ανακαλύπτει άγνωστες γκραβούρες και φωτογραφίες από την Αμερική, από το Packard Humanities Institute, από τα αρχεία της Library of Congress, των National Archives, του Harvard University, του Princeton University, του Ghetty, από αρχεία του Καναδά, της Αυστραλίας και της Ευρώπης αλλά και από ελληνικά αρχεία και ιδιωτικές συλλογές.
